Music gives me energy. Music helps me deal with things happening in my life or around me. Music brings me to places I would never go to otherwise. Music keeps me company when travelling by car, tram, metro, train, or plane. Music lets me scream when you feel I have to get something of my chest. Music helps me to calm down. Music teaches me things about life I never learnt at school. Music makes me feel I’m not alone. I could go on and on and on. The power of music cannot be underestimated.
Music has given me so much, and I believe it’s time to give something back. So I’ve decided to start collecting stories of all kinds of people (artists, managers, technicians, promoters, fans, photographers, etc.) about how important music is to them and if this applies to them, how they contribute to music. I’d like people to write some kind of a short monologue based on a few questions. The text will be accompanied by a portrait photo and maybe an action shot where possible. In the portrait, there has to be an element that refers to music. The stories will first be published on my website, and if I can collect enough stories with portraits, I might bring them all together in an e-book.
