Learning to walk again…

Currently I’m recovering from an arthroscopy in my left knee, two weeks ago. No more crutches at this point, just exercices and physiotherapy to be able to use my leg in all situations. Due to this grade 4 cartilage damage in my left knee I cannot sprint any more, which was my favourite type of sports for many years… Now I have to find an alternative that doesn’t have the same impact on my knee as sprinting. Any suggestions?

Below the evolution so far:

This break also gives me some time to recharge the batteries after an awesome festival season (yep, that’s me saying this out loud). A bit of a bummer that I couldn’t take pictures of Channel Zero at Frietrock last weekend, but man, what opportunities I got this Summer: Jera On Air, Ieperfest, Sjock Festival, Beerdrinkers & Hellraisers, Lokerse Feesten, … Bands like Stick To Your Guns, Enter Shikari, Lagwagon, Modern Life Is War, Sick Of It All, Converge, Comeback Kid, Judas Priest, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Sick Of It All, NOFX, Billy Talent, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, to just name a few. Wow, I’m extremely thankful for all these opportunities. Thanks to the people organizing all these festivals, all the volunteers making these festivals happening, all the bands!

Bands I didn’t get to shoot this Summer I really would have wanted, but who’ll hopefully come back soon for a new opportunity: The Fever 333, La Dispute, Papa Roach, Incubus, Channel Zero and many more.  Hopefully next time!

After I got married to my fantastic wife on August 1st, we are now looking forward to holding our baby in our arms (due 20 October)! A lot of awesome bands are coming to Belgium in the next few weeks, I really hope to get to shoot many of them! Particularly looking forward to Frank Turner, Stick To Your Guns and Citizen!
